Accounting Manager A well?established, privately held organization in the manufacturing/distribution space is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead day?to?day accounting operations, financial reporting, and team development. This role reports directly to the Controller and plays a key leadership role in driving accurate financials, strong internal controls, and continuous process improvement. Why This Opportunity Stands Out Direct partnership with a collaborative and highly respected Controller Opportunity to lead and develop a growing accounting team Strong culture with excellent benefits and long employee tenure Hybrid schedule (3 days in-office, 2 remote) Open due to internal promotion, highlighting strong upward mobility What You'll Do Oversee day?to?day accounting operations, including general ledger, fixed assets, and financial reporting Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with US GAAP Review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements prepared by the team Analyze financial results, variances, and trends to provide actionable insights to leadership Support audits and ensure readiness for year?end and periodic external reviews Oversee compliance?related reporting (tax filings, licenses, regulatory requirements, etc.) Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency, scalability, and standardization Collaborate cross?functionally with operations and business stakeholders What They're Looking For Strong general ledger and month?end close experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 1+ year of team leadership Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field CPA or CMA preferred Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems Proven ability to drive process improvements and operational efficiencies
