Position Overview Reporting to the Controller, the Accounting Manager will oversee key accounting functions for a large real estate portfolio, manage and mentor staff, and play a critical role in the month-end close and financial reporting processes. This position offers a blend of technical accounting, financial analysis, team leadership, and business partnership responsibilities. Key Responsibilities Oversee the month-end close process for multiple property portfolios Review financial statements and ensure accuracy of reporting Perform and review budget-to-actual variance analyses Investigate financial variances and provide meaningful explanations to leadership Supervise and mentor accounting staff, including direct oversight of a Senior Accountant and potentially additional team members Review and oversee financial dashboards and reporting packages Maintain strong internal controls and accounting processes Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and special projects Collaborate with leadership on operational and financial initiatives Support audit and compliance activities as needed Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 4+ years of real estate accounting experience Current Yardi experience is required Prior lead, supervisory, or management experience Strong knowledge of month-end close and financial reporting processes Experience analyzing budgets and explaining financial variances Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent communication and leadership abilities Why Consider This Opportunity?
