Job Description
Tyler Houk (Practice Director) with Robert Half is looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join a growing organization and provide steady leadership across core accounting functions. This fully remote opportunity is based in Fresno, California, and offers the chance to guide a small team while helping maintain accurate reporting, strong controls, and efficient financial processes. The ideal candidate brings a solid background in accounting operations, team supervision, and financial analysis, with the ability to support business performance in a fast-moving environment.
Responsibilities:
- Direct, coach, and evaluate a three-person accounting team, fostering accountability and consistent execution across daily and monthly activities.
- Manage essential accounting operations such as general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, journal entry review, and timely month-end close completion.
- Verify the accuracy of financial transactions by ensuring proper application of debits, credits, and supporting documentation within accounting systems.
- Work closely with organizational leadership to strengthen financial reporting, monitor cash flow trends, and improve accounting procedures.
- Establish and uphold internal control practices that support compliance and protect the integrity of financial data.
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, budgets, and performance-to-plan reporting to support informed decision-making.
- Utilize Famous software and advanced Excel tools to build reports, organize financial data, and improve visibility into operational results.
- Assist with audit preparation and collaborate with cross-functional partners in a remote work setting to resolve accounting issues and support business needs.
