Our company has grown organically since 1885 and remains committed to craftsmanship, integrity, and service, maintaining a strong presence in our local manufacturing community. Belden is seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager to oversee and support accounting, A/P & A/R, and payroll & benefits. This position resides in Canton, Ohio at the Belden Corporate office. Responsibilities Manage month-end and year-end close processes Prepare and review financial statements and reports Prepare quarterly consolidation and cashflow statements Supervise Senior Accountant, A/P
  • A/R Specialist, and Payroll and Benefits Specialist Oversee general ledger and processing Prepare account analysis and reports for CFO as needed Prepare monthly bank reconciliations Monthly journal entries for several companies Assist with Fidelity 401k administration Prepare and oversee annual audit/reviews for payroll and accounting Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Process biweekly salary payroll and annual true up batches Process pension requests Ad-Hoc ADP reports Assist with hourly payroll as needed Assist with benefits open enrollment and update new year in ADP Cover for staff as needed Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reporting Special projects Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment 5+ years of supervisory experience 2 years of payroll experience, preferably with ADP and Time & Attendance Must be reliable and confidential Strong understanding of financial reporting and accounting principles. Must have very strong PC skills with strong proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel (V-Lookups and Pivot Tables) Must be self-directed, have excellent initiative and organizational skills Ability to handle multiple demands with a sense of urgency, drive and energy Position requires an analytical problem solver that has excellent communication, organizational, and verbal skills Strong work ethic with ability to work with little supervision Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines, ensuring completion Travel to the plants in Sugarcreek as necessary Salary commensurate with experience and skill level
