Job Description

Job Summary We're seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead general ledger activities, account reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting. This role also supports audit efforts and drives process improvements. The ideal candidate is a strong, independent accounting professional who can lead a team in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Oversee daily accounting operations and supervise, train, and mentor accounting staff. Prepare and review month-end journal entries, reconciliations, and other accounting adjustments. Prepare and analyze balance sheet and income statement results, including identifying significant variances to budget and prior periods. Ensure accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls are consistently followed. Lead accounting, banking, AP, and process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and accuracy. Support accounting system integrations, conversions, and other projects as needed. Assist with intercompany transactions and accounting activities across multiple entities. Perform additional accounting and financial analysis duties as needed. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; MBA or CPA preferred. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing or distribution environment. Experience in a public or private equity-backed organization is a plus. Experience with acquisitions, intercompany transactions, and/or multi-entity general ledger environments preferred. Experience with general ledger system implementations, integrations, or conversions preferred; Epicor experience is a plus. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong financial analysis capabilities. Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain confidentiality and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Pay:
$50.00 - $55.00 per hour
