Job Description:

A rapidly growing healthcare organization is seeking a Accounting Manager to support financial reporting, month-end close, audit coordination, acquisition integration, and process improvement initiatives. This is a highly visible role with direct exposure to executive leadership and private equity stakeholders in a fast-paced, acquisition-driven environment. Strong upward mobility with expected progression into Assistant Controller path and have high exposure to executive leadership and private equity stakeholders. This is a hybrid role based in downtown Chicago. Key Responsibilities Lead and support monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting packages Perform variance analysis and explain business drivers behind results Assist with technical accounting matters including and GAAP compliance Support external audit processes and coordinate audit deliverables Partner with operations and leadership teams to provide financial insights and analysis Assist with acquisition integration efforts and onboarding of newly acquired entities Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements to improve scalability and efficiency Support budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc financial analysis requests Collaborate cross-functionally with accounting, operational leadership, and investment stakeholders Qualifications Active CPA required 4-5 years of progressive accounting experience Public accounting background in audit/assurance highly preferred Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting Experience supporting month-end close and external audits Ability to communicate financial results clearly to both finance and non-finance audiences Strong organizational, project management, and process improvement mindset
