Job DescriptionJob Description Position Overview This is a high-impact leadership role within a specialized regulatory accounting function, offering exposure to both executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders. The Accounting Manager will lead a team responsible for FERC and GAAP reporting, while playing a key role in process improvement, automation, and evolving reporting requirements. With a strong track record of internal promotion and employee retention, this position offers a clear path for long-term growth, including expanded leadership scope or progression into broader corporate accounting or finance roles. Key Responsibilities Lead and develop a team focused on financial and regulatory reporting Oversee preparation and review of FERC financial statements and filings, ensuring full compliance Manage GAAP financial reporting within a regulated environment Research and resolve technical accounting issues related to FERC and GAAP Partner with internal teams on rate cases, regulatory filings, and external audits Ensure compliance with SOX, internal controls, and regulatory frameworks Drive process improvement initiatives, including automation and reporting efficiencies Support financial analysis and reporting for leadership decision-making Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in energy or regulated industries Strong background in FERC reporting and regulatory compliance Prior leadership or supervisory experience Advanced technical accounting and financial reporting knowledge CPA preferred Experience with ERP systems (Oracle Cloud and/or Workiva a plus) Why This Opportunity Exposure to a specialized, in-demand niche (FERC/regulatory accounting) Stable, recession-resistant business model tied to essential infrastructure Clear runway for career progression and internal mobility Hybrid schedule with flexibility Competitive compensation + bonus structure Comprehensive, market-leading benefits Collaborative, long-tenured team environment
Pay Details:
