This role supports the financial operations and stewardship of the Society through effective management of accounting processes, financial reporting, budgeting, and day-to-day finance office operations. This position works closely with the Director of Finance to ensure accurate financial records, compliance with nonprofit accounting standards, and responsible stewardship of organizational resources. The Finance & Accounting Manager also supports the financial needs of the Sisters, ministries, Holy Child Center, and Province offices while maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and collaboration across departments. Key responsibilities include maintaining the general ledger, processing accounts payable and reimbursements, reconciling bank and investment accounts, supporting month-end close processes, assisting with audit preparation, monitoring departmental budgets, conducting financial analyses, and supporting forecasting and long-term financial planning activities. This role will also assist with tracking restricted funds and donor-designated contributions, maintaining accounting systems and financial software, coordinating with external vendors and service providers, and supporting the financial needs of the Sisters and Province operations. Strong communication skills, analytical abilities, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset are essential. This is a full-time, exempt hybrid position , with remote work available up to two days per week when schedules permit. Applicants must possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, along with 3-5 years of accounting or finance experience, preferably within a nonprofit or religious organization. Experience with nonprofit or fund accounting, MIP Fund Accounting, and accounts payable systems is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities and proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, Excel, and accounting software systems.
