Finance Business Manager Summary:
The Finance Business Manager oversees the financial and administrative operations of the Utah County Sheriff's Office, including department budgeting, purchasing, routine financial transactions, financial reporting, grants, contracts, compliance, operational reporting, and administrative support functions. This position serves as the primary liaison between the Sheriff's Office and the Utah County Auditor's Office and provides support in fiscal management, strategic planning, operational analysis, and process improvement. Starting Pay:
$30.74-$35.35 Hourly (based on experience) Key Responsibilities Oversee department budgets, financial operations, purchasing activities, and regulatory compliance. Serve as the primary liaison with the Utah County Auditor's Office on financial, budgetary, and accounting matters. Analyze operational and financial data, develop reports and performance metrics, and provide recommendations to support strategic planning and decision-making. Manage grants, contracts, fixed assets, audits, and financial reporting processes. Coordinate administrative and operational functions, identify process improvements, and support efficient service delivery throughout the Sheriff's Office. Minimum Qualifications Associate degree in Business Management, Accounting, Finance, Public Administration, or a related field. Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in finance business management, financial administration, operations management, public administration, accounting, or organizational leadership, including at least three (3) years of experience managing budgets, financial reporting, operational analysis, or supervisory functions. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered. Preferred Qualifications Experience managing budgets, financial reporting, grants, contracts, and operational analysis. Strong leadership, communication, project management, and organizational skills. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, financial systems, and data reporting tools.
