Job Description
Finance Manager Full-Time $62,400 - 79,040 / year Homeworthy is looking for a Finance Manager to join us in our mission to end the cycle of poverty and homelessness in Midcoast Maine! Our ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in GAAP accounting, strong familiarity with QuickBooks and have a desire to be a part of a collaborative and customer service oriented administrative team! Under the supervision of our COO, our administrative department is a hands on and supportive team with endless possibilities for learning and growth. The Finance Manager will have the opportunity to cross train with other positions in the department including HR, Facilities and Compliance/Outcomes. Based out of Rockport/Rockland in beautiful Mid-Coast Maine, Homeworthy is the only comprehensive homeless service provider supporting individuals and families experiencing homelessness in Knox, Waldo, and parts of Lincoln counties. We deliver home, help and hope through our wrap-around programming, including Comprehensive Client Care services, the Hospitality House Family Shelter, and The Landing Place Youth Program. We deliver our services with dignity and respect. The Finance Manager works under the supervision of the COO and is responsible for the financial operations of the organization including maintaining accurate and compliant fiscal and administrative records for the Agency. Specifically, the Finance Manager must maintain a solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounting duties and have the ability to manage multiple restricted funding streams, in addition to maintaining an understanding of G.A.A.P. principles, best practices and procedures. This position requires a Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or finance or a related field (MBA or CPA preferred)., and a minimum of 2 years of bookkeeping, financial management, or financial analysis experience, preferably within a nonprofit. The Finance Manager must be proficient with QuickBooks Online, Google platforms as well as Microsoft Word and Excel.
