Job Description

We are hiring a Financial Systems Manager, a key contributor within the Sonepar USA Digital Enterprise organization. This role is responsible for the strategy, oversight, and continuous improvement of financial tools, systems, and technology solutions that support the Finance organization. The Financial Systems Manager partners closely with Finance leadership and key stakeholders to ensure the company has the right financial systems and capabilities in place to support accounts receivables, accounts payables, accounting, reporting, close, compliance, and business decision-making. This role owns the financial systems landscape and roadmap, ensuring solutions are scalable, integrated, and aligned to business needs. Key systems may include (but are not limited to): Journal Entry and Period Close tools, ERP Accounting, Journals, Accounts payables and receivables, General Ledger, Financial Reporting platforms, third-party financial applications, and future finance technologies.
Translate business needs into clear functional requirements, ensuring solutions are fit-for-purpose and deliver measurable value. Oversee system enhancements, upgrades, integrations, and new implementations in partnership with technology teams and vendors. Support user acceptance testing, validation, and readiness activities for finance system changes. Drive system adoption and change management, including collaboration on training, documentation, and communication. Establish and maintain governance, standards, and best practices for financial systems to ensure consistency, data integrity, and compliance. Monitor system performance and user feedback to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Work Location & Travel:
This is a hybrid position based in: Broomfield, CO The role requires approximately 40% travel to operating companies and distribution centers across the Sonepar enterprise.Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary owner of the financial systems portfolio, partnering with Finance to define the future-state vision and multi-year roadmap for finance tools and technology. Collaborate with Finance leadership, business process owners, and stakeholders to identify system needs, gaps, and improvement opportunities. Ensure financial systems effectively support core processes such as accounting, close, reporting, compliance, and analysis. Lead build vs. buy evaluations, vendor selection, and business case development for new or enhanced financial systems.
