Financial Manager - Utilities

Job DescriptionJob Description We have an immediate opportunity for a Financial Manager with experience in the utility industry. This position requires strong understanding of utility finance, economics principles, and financial modeling techniques. This is a hybrid position which requires two days in the office with additional days in the office as needed. Duties and Responsibilities The ability to develop cost-benefit analysis and business cases with supporting technology and cost analysis for multiple existing and nascent grid technologies while developing recommendations and materials to support investment Experience and ability to evaluate financial impact of new grid architecture design and technology implementation and provide insights on investment opportunities Ability to conduct comprehensive cost-benefit analysis to evaluate economic viability that includes identifying and estimating benefits, cost savings along with assessing capital efficiency Ability to align business care with regulatory requirements Develop strategies to address regulatory and policy considerations and recommendations to enable decision making Strong understanding of utility finance, economic principles, and financial modeling techniques Proven track record of successfully leading complex projects and conducting comprehensive economic analysis Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with a diverse audience Education and Experience Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical, Engineering, Economics, Business Administration or related field Seven or more years of experience in modeling, forecasting, and economic analysis, with a focus or grid architecture, grid technology deployment Thorough knowledge and understanding of utility business, grid planning and operation, and grid modernization technologies Coding/Programming skill in Excel, Python, or other business applications Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite to include Excel Upon a conditional job offer, a drug test and background check will be required. Compensation based on experience.
