Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager will be a strategic partner managing the financial planning for the Organization and ensuring SFM's financial health is solid so it can carry out its mission. The responsibilities include providing actionable financial insights and building the analytical infrastructure that supports sound decision-making across the organization. You will seek process improvements, drive efficiencies and develop key performance indicators that measure the financial health of the organization. Working as a collaborator, the FPA Manager leads a technical team while remaining hands-on with day-to-day business activities. You will have the opportunity to establish financial controls and work cross-divisionally managing complex projects and acting as a trusted advisor to Senior Management. What You'll Do:
Owns the annual budgeting process and rolling forecast cycle, partnering with business unit leaders and finance leadership to develop credible, well-supported financial plans and is a trusted advisor creating clear narratives concerning the financial performance for the CFO and executive leaders. Provides financial insights and recommendations to influence executive-level decisions and navigates complex business matters and builds financial models. Leads and manages finance-driven projects from initiation through completion, including system implementations, process redesign efforts, and cross-functional initiatives, while maintaining clear ownership, timelines, and stakeholder communication throughout. Oversees the design and maintenance of management reporting, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timeliness across the close cycle, and manages external vendor relationships. Provides leadership that is consistent with the organizations vision and expectations to team members that support corporate strategic priorities. Inspires team members to attain goals and pursue excellence. Identifies opportunities for improvement and makes constructive suggestions for improved performance and acts as mentor in project management fundamentals.
What We'll Like About You:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field. 6 years of progressive Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) or corporate finance experience. 3 or more years' experience in a people leadership capacity. Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team while remaining an active individual contributor. Excellent project management skills. Strong command of financial modeling and controls, budgeting methodologies, and management reporting. Excellent knowledge of data tools, automation initiatives, or financial systems implementation with comfort working at the boundary of finance and technology is essential. Exceptional communication skills; able to present complex financial information with clarity and confidence to non-financial audiences. First rate customer service and interpersonal skills and ability to build sound relationships with internal and external customers. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear and maintain concentration and focus. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms and work with close vision. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds. Work is performed indoors with little to no exposure to extreme outdoor weather conditions.
