Role Description This full-time Financial Services Professional role is a hybrid position based in Pearland, TX, with a mix of in-office and work-from-home flexibility. In this role, the professional will help individuals and families develop tailored financial strategies, including insurance solutions, investment options, and retirement planning. Day-to-day responsibilities include meeting with clients, analyzing their financial needs and goals, and presenting appropriate products and services. The professional will build and manage a client portfolio, maintain ongoing relationships, and provide regular reviews to help clients stay on track with their financial plans. The role also involves staying informed about financial markets and New York Life offerings, maintaining required licenses, and collaborating with colleagues and specialists to deliver comprehensive financial guidance. Qualifications Strong knowledge and practical skills in Financial Planning and Retirement Planning to design and implement personalized client strategies. Foundational understanding of Finance and Financial Services to explain products clearly and support informed client decisions. Excellent Communication skills, including the ability to listen actively, present complex information in simple terms, and build trust with diverse clients. Relevant professional licenses or the ability to obtain them (e.g., state life/health insurance license; FINRA registrations such as Series 6/7 and 63/65/66, as applicable). Bachelor's degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience in financial services considered. Demonstrated client-service mindset, ethical judgment, and commitment to confidentiality and regulatory compliance. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment, manage time effectively, and build a sustainable book of business. Comfort with digital tools and CRM systems to track client interactions, manage workflow, and support remote communication.
