FP&A Manager / Lead Analyst (Hybrid - Marlborough, MA)

Full-Time About the Opportunity Our client is seeking a highly analytical and business-focused FP&A Manager / Lead Analyst to support a key business unit. This role will own budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis while acting as a trusted advisor to senior leadership. The ideal candidate is someone who can translate business strategy into financial insights and drive informed decision-making across the organization. Key Responsibilities Report directly to the Global Central FP&A team with a dotted-line relationship to a designated business unit or functional area Lead the annual budgeting process and quarterly forecasts , including detailed sales projections and full financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) Support month-end and quarter-end close activities (accruals, reclasses, and financial analytics) Prepare and deliver monthly and quarterly reporting packages , including KPI tracking and variance analysis Analyze performance against budget and forecast, providing clear explanations of trends and drivers Serve as the primary FP&A partner to senior business leaders, delivering actionable insights and recommendations Build and evaluate business cases for new initiatives, products, and capital investments (ROI, payback analysis) Potentially oversee and mentor junior analysts (depending on team structure) Support corporate-level consolidation and reporting activities and contribute to process improvement initiatives within FP&A Qualifications Required 3-5 years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or a related analytical role Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field Strong financial modeling capabilities with advanced Excel skills and experience working with large datasets Hands-on experience with budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting Solid understanding of P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow dynamics Proficiency with data visualization and presentation tools (Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint) Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into business insights Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional, non-finance stakeholders Preferred Experience with MS Dynamics/Navision, Planful , or similar FP&A planning tools CPA, CFA, or MBA Experience managing or mentoring analysts Why This Role?
