The Fund Accounting Manager oversees the third-party accounting providers and the fund administrators in the preparation of financial statements and other financial information and reporting for the funds. The Fund Accounting Manager will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer, Real Estate.
Major Duties and Responsibilities include:
Manage financial reporting for investment funds o Review workpapers and NAV packages prepared by the fund administrators. o Review quarterly and annual financial statements and ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and investment company guidance. o Assist in the review of investor deliverables, including investor capital and performance statements. o Calculate and review performance reporting and communicate results to portfolio managers and the executive team. o Coordinate annual financial statement audits and act as primary liaison with fund auditors. Manage fund cash flow Perform a weekly cash analysis to be included in the weekly reporting provided to the portfolio management. Coordinate payment of fund-level expenses with the fund administrator's treasury team. Review asset management fee calculations prepared by fund administrators. Monitor cash needs for upcoming acquisitions, debt maturities, and investor distributions Administration and Ad Hoc Serve as a resource for the real estate and infrastructure operations and portfolio management teams. Work closely with the Global Chief Financial Officer and Chief Financial Officer, Real Estate on driving process improvements across the finance team. Coordinate with the deal teams and the investment-level finance team on potential acquisitions and due diligence needs. Responsible for overseeing fund-level bank account administration. Coordinate with the investor relations and DDQ teams on investor questions and requests.
Education, Skills, Personal Characteristics and Work Experience Requirements:
? Bachelor's Degree in Accounting; Required ? Yardi experience a plus. ? Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. ? 5-year plus public and/or private accounting, real estate/infrastructure accounting preferred. Supervisory experience a plus. ? Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
