  • Full-time Position Summary A leading global manufacturer is seeking an experienced, hands-on Accounting Manager to oversee the financial operations and HR administration at their US subsidiary located in Redmond, WA Hybrid (3-day office and 2-day remote/week) Japanese language skill is not a must, but a big plus.
Reporting directly to the Director of Finance/HR , you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, complying with US GAAP , and collaborating on strategic business planning. This is a pivotal middle-management role where you will also supervise a Staff Accountant and/or Accounting Supervisor , while managing essential HR duties and payroll.
Key Responsibilities Accounting & Financial Management:
Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with US GAAP standards. PDF Handle general ledger (GL) account reconciliations and prepare journal entries. Manage monthly bank reconciliations, initiate wire transfers, and monitor daily transactions. Process bi-weekly payroll and enter corresponding journal entries. Perform regular reconciliation of parent company accounts (Purchases, AP, AR, Sales, etc.). Calculate commissions and update monthly statements for sales representatives. Manage deferred revenue, Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) calculations, and lease accounting. Handle accruals, reserve calculations, and credit memo verification. Monitor fixed assets and inventory accounts. Prepare financial fluctuation analysis reports and finalize the annual reporting package for the Parent Company. Liaise with external auditors during annual audits and coordinate with the Parent Company Finance Team. Oversee Accounts Payable (AP) entries and Accounts Receivable (AR) collections.
Human Resources & Operations:
Handle the hiring process, including background checks and onboarding. Manage employee enrollment and administration for health insurance and the 401(k) retirement plan. Execute 401(k) deposits and HSA fund transfers. Lead, mentor, and maximize workflow efficiency for the accounting team. Perform special projects and miscellaneous duties as assigned by upper management.
Qualifications & Requirements Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum 10 years of progressive accounting experience.
Management:
Previous managerial or supervisory experience is highly preferred.
Skills:
Proficient with MS Office, Windows OS, and standard accounting software.
Soft Skills:
Excellent communication skills , high ethical standards , and a strong problem-solving mindset.

$85,000.00
