Job Description

We are an employee-owned RIA with our office in Novi, Michigan. We primarily serve high net worth families nationwide. All of our investment professionals work together to solve clients' service requirements. We offer competitive compensation including medical coverage and a cafeteria benefit plan.
This role involves:
Fundamental research and analysis of equity securities. Some fixed income analysis. Summarizing security-level and market/economic insights for distribution to colleagues, clients, and outside publications. Making investment recommendations and participating in investment strategy discussions with the investment team. Communicating investment strategies, opportunities, and risks to clients personally and in writing. Trading and managing client portfolios. Helping advance the firm's client service, marketing, and business development initiatives. The role is especially suitable for candidates who: Enjoy meeting the various and unpredictable demands of a small business. Can think creatively to solve problems by leveraging new technology or new processes. Are excited about the long-term potential to become an owner of the company.
Qualifications:
The position is located in Novi, Michigan. Our staff commutes from around southeast Michigan. Some work can be performed remotely as required, but remote opportunities are limited. Most of us are in the office every weekday. The successful candidate will have the following: Bachelor's or advanced degree in a relevant area of study. (required) Minimum three years experience in investment management or closely related field. (required) CFA Charter or substantial progress toward the Charter. (required) Strong ability to communicate investment ideas verbally and in writing. (required) Experience with financial, tax, and estate planning. Ability to leverage new technologies to make processes more reliable and efficient.
