Job Responsibilities The Accounting Manager will oversee and optimize financial processes within the Oracle NetSuite ERP platform, with a strong focus on cost accounting, financial strategy, and team leadership. This role manages accounts receivable, accounts payable, cost accounting, financial reporting, and general ledger operations, while driving process improvements and mentoring staff.
Responsibilities include:
Oversee daily bank reconciliations, ensuring accurate customer deposit postings in NetSuite, managing accounts receivable, and leading collections efforts, with expertise in handling E-commerce accounts. Supervise vendor invoice processing in BILL.com, ensuring alignment with approved POs, syncing transactions to NetSuite, resolving unmatched receipts, and addressing vendor inquiries promptly. Manage weekly payment processing, including UPS/FedEx bills, Divvy.com credit card reconciliations, HR benefit payments, and bank/investor interest payments, while providing strategic cash flow analysis to the CEO. Lead month-end close processes, including inventory transaction entries, accruals, bank reconciliations, balance sheet account reviews, and ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded in NetSuite. Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, delivering actionable insights through budget-to-actual variance reports, and presenting findings to leadership. Partner with the manufacturing team to oversee physical inventory audits, develop and refine standard costing methodologies, create bills of materials (BOMs), and lead annual inventory revaluation processes. Drive year-end close activities, ensuring compliance and providing comprehensive documentation for tax preparation. Mentor and train junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement. Spearhead process enhancements in NetSuite, leveraging advanced features to streamline workflows and improve financial reporting accuracy.

Compensation:
Competitive salaried position starting at $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience.

Education Requirements and Related Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required). 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 4 years focused on cost accounting in a manufacturing environment. 3+ years of hands-on experience with standard costing, including inventory valuation, BOM creation, and variance analysis. 3+ years of advanced Oracle NetSuite experience, including configuration, reporting, and process automation. 2+ years of supervisory or managerial experience, leading accounting teams or projects. Proficiency in Google applications (Gmail, Docs, Sheets) for collaboration and reporting.
