$105,000-$118,000/year (depending on experience) Job Overview PrideStaff is seeking an experienced, dynamic Member Solutions Manager on behalf of a premier regional financial institution in Mid-Michigan. In this strategic leadership role, you will direct and optimize default management, loss mitigation, and recovery programs across consumer, mortgage, and commercial loan portfolios. You will lead a dedicated team in underwriting workouts, navigating bankruptcy and foreclosure workflows, managing repossessed assets, and determining legal collection strategies. The ideal candidate combines strong credit risk analysis with empathetic member communication and team mentorship to protect financial stability while delivering quality service.
Key Responsibilities Portfolio & Default Leadership:
Direct operational collection strategies, workout programs, and loan restructures across all consumer, commercial, student, and mortgage loan portfolios to minimize credit losses.
Loan Workouts & Underwriting:
Decision complex loan workouts, modifications, and repayment plans; maintain full signing authority on restructures and asset sales in compliance with investor and secondary market guidelines.
Legal, Foreclosure & Bankruptcy Administration:
Oversee all bankruptcy, garnishment, writ execution, and foreclosure processes; negotiate directly with debtor and creditor counsel on Chapter 13 plans, reaffirmation agreements, and loss mitigation options.
REO & Repossessed Asset Management:
Direct the liquidation, valuation, listing, and marketing of real estate (REO) and chattel assets; build vendor networks for property maintenance, repairs, and asset inspections.
Team Leadership & Development:
Hire, train, coach, and supervise department staff; establish operational metrics, manage schedules, and foster a collaborative, cross-trained work culture.
Compliance & Commercial Analysis:
Assist with annual commercial loan analysis on watch credits; ensure all collection activities strictly adhere to statutory collection laws, bankruptcy codes, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Requirements Education:
Bachelor's degree required.
Experience:
Minimum 7 years of hands-on collections and default management experience. Minimum 5 years of direct management or supervisory experience required.
Legal & Technical Expertise:
Proficient understanding of bankruptcy law, foreclosure laws, contract law, and legal collection strategies (e.g., garnishments, liens, executions).
Software Knowledge:
Familiarity with loan servicing systems and industry platforms (e.g., FICS, PACER, Fannie Mae/FHA/VA guidelines, OpenLending) preferred.
Key Attributes:
Excellent negotiation and conflict-resolution skills, strong financial judgment, and professional written and verbal communication skills.
Special Requirements:
Must be 100% bondable.
Pay:
$105,000.00 - $118,000.00 per year
