As Manager of Consumer and Residential Collections, you'll guide and develop a team, drive effective delinquency and loss-mitigation strategies, and partner across the bank and with outside counsel to resolve advanced-stage accounts. This is a hybrid opportunity based out of our Souderton office. If you're energized by balancing empathy with accountability and ensuring work is done the right way through strong documentation, compliance, and investor guidelines, this is a chance to help protect customers, the community, and the bank. Responsibilities Review and manage collector activities to ensure appropriate level of effort is being used and documented to collect past due accounts, including timely calling and notice generation. Review and oversee advanced stage collections including loss mitigation, repossessions, litigation and foreclosures. Negotiate and document payment arrangements including forbearance, loan modification, or other agreements. Oversee the compiling and submission of month-end reports including delinquency, sub-standard loan and charge-off reports. Identify specific compliance related activities required on Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac accounts and ensure they are performed and documented. Ensure appropriate coordination with investor reporting regarding loan status on delinquent accounts. Draft, review and update departmental policy and procedure manual. Assign/distribute accounts to collector queues daily. Process requests for debt forgiveness. Effectively use loss mitigation to mitigate losses to both investors and the bank. Oversee/coordinate work with outside counsel related to bankruptcy, litigation, and foreclosure/asset recovery management to ensure timely processing. Ensure post-foreclosure claims are filed with appropriate investor and/or mortgage insurer/guarantor. Accountable for compliance with laws and regulations that apply to this position including the Univest Code of Conduct. Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a business-oriented field of study and over 7 years of experience collecting mortgage and consumer accounts including responsibility for workout accounts, litigation, bankruptcies and collection management. Excellent written and verbal communications skills, exceptional negotiation skills. Experience motivating and managing collections staff. Experience with residential mortgage collections including Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac guidelines, rules, regulations and compliance issues. Experience with issues related to secured lending including collateral liquidation and repossessions. Innovative, efficient, able to multi-task, demonstrated analytical ability, sound decision-making and background in a fast-paced environment. Exposure to credit, loan origination, servicing, and core processing systems in addition to other ancillary software programs, such as Microsoft Office Suite. Relationship management skills and ability to influence at all levels of the organization. Demonstrated success in working with a variety of teams. Bank or Financial Institution experience is a plus.
Wage Range:
The salary for this position ranges from $125,000 to $150,000
