We are a rapidly growing organization seeking a Senior Finance Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the financial strategy and planning of the company s government contracts and will support overseeing the execution of strategy and budgets in coordination with Program Operations. This role will focus on developing and managing program budgets for in-flight programs as well as new programs, tracking expenditures, and ensuring target profit margins are met at both the program and corporate levels. The Finance Manager will work closely with program managers to provide financial insights that drive sound operational decisions across all our existing and new contracts. This is not a supervisory role. Candidate MUST reside locally in the DC Metro Area . Responsibilities Strategic Support Provide data and thought leadership to the executive team to drive strategic financial business decisions Provide data analysis and insights to support decision-making Financial Oversight & Compliance Track expenditures, indirect costs, and cost allocations to ensure efficiency and profitability Ensure compliance with federal contracting financial regulations, including DCAA (Defense Contract Audit Agency) audits Monitor and enforce internal financial controls to mitigate risks and ensure accurate reporting Prepare and present financial reports to executive leadership, stakeholders, and government agencies as required Budgeting & Financial Planning Develop and maintain detailed budgets for all programs, ensuring alignment with contract requirements Monitor financial performance against budgets, identifying variances and implementing corrective actions Prepare financial forecasts and cost estimates to support short-term and long-term business planning Operational Support & Decision Making Provide financial guidance to program managers to optimize resource allocation and cost efficiency Support contract modifications, cost adjustments, and negotiations with government agencies in collaboration with Contracts Specialist Lead process improvements to enhance financial operations, reporting, and compliance Additional Duties Contract Pricing & Bid Development Support the development of pricing strategies and cost models for new government contract proposals Conduct financial analysis to determine competitive pricing strategy Collaborate with proposal teams, business development, and contract managers to support accurate and compliant cost proposals Provide risk assessment on pricing strategies Qualifications Experience working with Deltek Costpoint or GCS, or similar and
