Duties and Responsibilities:
The Senior Financial Manager must be knowledgeable and capable of assisting in the following: Assist with the preparation and review of quarterly Agency Financial Statements, including trading partner reconciliation activities, journal voucher review and approval, and responding to Office of the Under Secretary of War (Comptroller) follow-up questions related to abnormal balances and account balance fluctuations. Facilitate financial reporting and statement certification activities. Reconcile and review the Agency's Fund Balance with Treasury (FBWT), including reconciling Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) Unadjusted Trial Balance (UTB) to Adjusted Trial Balance (ATB) reports and identifying undistributed transaction details for potential root causes. Assist with producing a complete, accurate, and reconcilable Universe of Transactions (UoT) that supports the Agency's financial statement balances. Identify feeder system reconciliations performed by Service Providers and Components. Provide oversight for daily, monthly, and quarterly reports generated from Defense Agencies Initiative (DAI), General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS), Advana, Defense Departmental Reporting System (DDRS), and other relevant systems for Agency data retention and reconciliation. Provide oversight of Agency management information charts produced from system-generated reports. Provide oversight for the Agency's funding information used in briefings, reviews, and other requests, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and proper reflection of budgetary position. Provide oversight of monthly reconciliation of Agency data between Enterprise Funds Distribution (EFD) and Joint Integrated CBRND Analytic Platform (JICAP), including identifying discrepancies, conducting analysis, and supporting corrective actions. Provide oversight of monitoring and review of the Agency's unmatched transaction details, including identifying and correcting errors. Work with data analytics applications (Advana, Databricks, etc.) to identify and resolve discrepancies related to Agency metrics. Utilize Databricks to build Agency-specific queries. Participate in meetings with Agency component organizations and service providers. Prepare and review financial reconciliations and perform financial analysis as needed. Perform other financial management, accounting, and support tasks as required. Assist with the preparation and review of Comptroller Financial SOPs and Desk Procedures. Assist with the preparation and review of Process Control Narratives. with the preparation and review of Process Control Narratives.
Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities:
Secret Clearance Required Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products with an emphasis on MS Excel, along with the aptitude and desire to become an advanced user Minimum Audit and Accounting experience DoD experience desired Minimum 8+ years of experience
Education and Certifications:
Minimum Bachelors, business discipline preferred CPA preferred CDFM or CGFM/DoD FM Certification preferred Compensation $120,000 - $148,000 annually (based on the National Capital Region) The pay range for this job level at Savantage Solutions serves as a general guideline and is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. This salary range is based on the National Capital Region and reflects our good faith estimate for this role at the time of posting.
