Finance Manager, Non-Profit 254 Beaufort Street NE, Aiken, SC 29801 From $48,000 a year - Full-time From $48,000 a year - Full-time Overview Join our dynamic non-profit organization as a Finance Manager, where you will lead financial operations with energy and precision to support our mission-driven initiatives. This pivotal role offers an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of managing comprehensive budgets, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive financial grant planning —all while fostering a culture of fiscal responsibility and transparency. Duties Perform basic HR functions, including but not limited to creating and maintaining employee files, new hire requirements and orientation. Oversee all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control to ensure alignment with organizational goals. Manages accounting functions including but not limited to accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, petty cash, purchasing and bank deposits. Collaborate on strategic planning initiatives including financial concepts like profit & loss analysis, cost accounting, and fiscal management to support organizational growth. Utilize financial software for data analysis, reporting and maintaining accurate, detailed records of financial transactions for non-profit accounting. Analyze and interpret financial statements and reports in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Monitors operating budget; ensures office activities are conducted within budgetary restrictions. Maintain and manage fixed assets in financial software. Maintain and manage gifts cards in financial software. Lead financial audits by coordinating with external auditors and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations. Compile and submit supporting documentation needed to generate funder reimbursement. Orders and maintains office supplies and inventory. Develops and manages central financial filing system including archives and vendor files. Creates and maintains board files and meeting minutes. Reports identified compliance situations to supervisors and/or Executive Director. Exercise appropriate decision-making in regard to agency services, priorities and staff Provide office coverage during times of staff shortage Eligible Candidates should have: Proven experience in non-profit accounting and grants combined with strong knowledge of GAAP accounting practices. Demonstrated expertise in QuickBooks Online financial management software systems. Solid understanding of non-profit finance principles including budgeting, forecasting and grant management. Ability to interpret complex financial reports and navigate complex grant systems. Excellent analytical skills in cost management, revenue management and cash flow analysis. Experience in compliance management related to regulatory reporting requirements for non-profit organizations. Education & Experience Requirements Bachelor's degree in a related field. Relevant fields may include business administration, nonprofit management, accounting, finance or a closely related discipline. Candidates without a bachelor's degree will be considered if they possess a combination of relevant work experience, demonstrated skills, and professional accomplishments that provide the knowledge and abilities necessary to successfully perform the essential functions of the position.
