We're looking for a Manager, Corporate Accounting who is ready to lead a high-performing accounting team, strengthen financial processes, and ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of the Company's financial reporting. This role combines technical accounting expertise with people leadership, process optimization, and cross-functional business partnership to support SONIFI's continued growth. What you'll do Reporting to the Director, Assistant Controller, you'll oversee key accounting operations, lead a team of accounting professionals, and ensure financial activities are executed accurately and in accordance with GAAP. You'll partner with leaders across the organization to improve financial processes, strengthen internal controls, and drive operational efficiencies through automation and continuous improvement. Lead the general ledger, accounts payable, collections, month-end close, and financial reporting functions by ensuring accurate accounting records, timely close processes, GAAP compliance, reconciliations, financial analysis, and reporting across the organization. Oversee the collections process by leading the collections team, monitoring performance metrics, achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual collection goals, recommending bad debt and concession write-offs, and communicating key performance metrics to leadership. Partner with the Assistant Controller to support financial reporting, annual audits, compliance activities, external auditor requests, financial statement preparation, internal reporting enhancements, and special projects while ensuring deadlines are met. Develop, maintain, and strengthen accounting policies, internal controls, and financial processes by identifying risks, ensuring compliance, improving reporting accuracy, and supporting operational and systemic control improvements. Lead, coach, and develop the accounting team through hiring, onboarding, training, cross-training, workload balancing, performance management, succession planning, and continuous employee development while fostering accountability and collaboration. Drive process improvement and automation initiatives by evaluating accounting workflows, identifying efficiency opportunities, leveraging approved AI-enabled tools where appropriate, reducing manual effort, and improving the effectiveness of accounting operations. Serve as a trusted business partner by collaborating with operating departments to provide accounting expertise, support strategic initiatives, improve business processes, and recommend solutions that enhance financial performance and organizational effectiveness. What you'll need We're looking for an experienced accounting leader with strong technical expertise, proven leadership skills, and a passion for improving financial processes while developing high-performing teams. Bachelor's degree in Accounting and eight to ten years of progressive accounting experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, accounting principles, internal controls, month-end close processes, general ledger operations, accounts payable, and corporate accounting best practices. Demonstrated experience leading and developing accounting teams, including hiring, coaching, performance management, workload planning, and employee development. Strong analytical, financial, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain exceptional attention to detail. Experience managing financial reporting, annual audits, external auditor relationships, compliance activities, and complex accounting projects. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and experience using enterprise financial systems to support accounting operations, reporting, and process improvements. Ability to partner effectively with leaders across the organization while identifying opportunities to improve business processes, strengthen internal controls, implement automation, and support strategic business initiatives. Preferred CPA or CMA certification. Experience with NetSuite ERP. Experience leading accounting process improvement, automation, or AI-enabled initiatives within a controlled finance or accounting environment. Experience developing accounting policies, internal controls, and financial reporting processes. Together, we can build your future!
