Job Description

The Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing the accounting activities for Concentra's health clinics through a solid understanding of business processes, systems and an in-depth knowledge of current generally accepted accounting principles and guidance. The role will supervise two to three Senior Accountants and will report to the Director of Business Unit Accounting. Responsibilities Manage and coordinate monthly accounting, close processes and financial reporting for multiple medical locations, internal service and administrative departments and ancillary businesses Supervise, develop, and retain professional accounting staff Provide financial liaison support to operational colleagues ensuring appropriate accounting of activity and meaningful analysis in support of operational strategies Provide internal department accounting and analysis Ensure compliance with current accounting controls and procedures Identify opportunities to streamline the accounting processes Provide guidance and support for financial audits by liaising with the external auditors Perform balance sheet reconciliations and accrual accounting Communicate and work with all levels of Corporate management

Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required In lieu of higher education, the ratio is 1:1 meaning one year of college equals one year of work Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license preferred Customarily has five (5) years of experience managing full cycle month end close process, account reconciliation and variance analysis Experience with Oracle eBusiness Suite and Hyperion tools (HFM, Smartview, Essbase) a plus. Experience with multiple entities, Public Accounting and/or partnership accounting preferred Job-Related Skills/Competencies Concentra Core Competencies of Service Mentality, Attention to Detail, Sense of Urgency, Initiative and Flexibility Ability to make decisions or solve problems by using logic to identify key facts, explore alternatives, and propose quality solutions Outstanding customer service skills as well as the ability to deal with people in a manner which shows tact and professionalism The ability to properly handle sensitive and confidential information (including HIPAA and PHI) in accordance with federal and state laws and company policies Exhibits superior teamwork skills Strong interpersonal and communication skills a must Effective communication skills.
