Overview We're hiring an Accounting Manager to help lead our accounting team. This role calls for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, client-facing environment and can move fluidly between hands-on review and higher-level oversight. We're looking for someone motivated, forward-thinking, and full of new ideas, but just as comfortable following established procedures. You'll need to problem-solve and think independently, and communicate easily with both staff and clients. Training is core to how we operate, and as a manager, you'll play an active role in coaching and growing our team. Duties Manage and mentor a team of accountants, ranging from staff to senior level, reviewing work for accuracy and adherence to accounting standards Oversee month-end close, financial reporting, and reconciliations across a portfolio of clients Serve as an escalation point for complex client accounting issues, pivoting quickly between priorities in a deadline-driven, multi-client environment Ensure GAAP and firm accounting standards are applied consistently and correctly across the team's work Identify process improvements and training needs across the client accounting team Communicate directly with clients on financial reporting matters Qualifications Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience, including management or supervisory experience Active CPA license required Background in public accounting or another fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Strong working knowledge of GAAP with a demonstrated ability to put sound accounting standards into practice, not just on paper Proven ability to manage multiple clients and priorities at once, and to pivot and think quickly as needs shift Excellent communication and leadership skills Ability to handle confidential information with integrity while maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. Exceptional analytical skills combined with a solid understanding of financial concepts such as budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, and financial statement interpretation.
