Head of Finance

We are seeking a Head of Finance for our client, a fast-growing technology company building supply chain management software across multiple international markets. This role will lead financial reporting, risk management, compliance, and strategic finance. The ideal candidate will oversee accounting operations, prepare financial statements, manage a small team, and drive improvements in financial processes and internal controls. Responsibilities Own preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Oversee treasury operations across multiple international entities Lead general ledger management including journal entries and reconciliations Drive month-end and year-end close processes Ensure adherence to U.S. GAAP and relevant international accounting frameworks Build and refine internal controls and accounting policies Serve as primary contact for internal and external audits Deliver financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting to support executive decision-making Oversee AP/AR workflows and identify process improvement opportunities Mentor and develop junior finance and accounting team members Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 7+ years of progressive accounting experience Strong command of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting standards Experience with cloud-based ERP/accounting platforms Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills Sharp analytical and problem-solving abilities with a bias toward action Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Preferred Qualifications CPA or active CPA candidate Background in SaaS or subscription-based revenue recognition Public accounting experience Familiarity with international accounting standards (IFRS or equivalent) Experience coordinating financial audits and compliance reporting Track record driving automation or process improvement in finance functions Prior people management experience
