Senior Accountant/Accounting Manager - HVAC Excel Air LLC is a family owned and operated business in the DFW Area, providing a variety of commercial and residential HVAC services for nearly 74 years!
Job Summary:
We are a fast-growing HVAC company and looking for a Senior Accountant/Office Manager to manage daily accounting functions with various functions. The individual should be highly organized, able to multi-task, expert in QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel proficient, detail oriented and prefer prior experience working in Construction/HVAC. This person will also be responsible for managing HR function. Candidate must pass a drug test and Background check.
Job Duties:
Managing daily entries of all Accounting transactions Responsible for reconciling accounts payable, accounts receivables, cash reconciliation, bank transactions and purchase orders. Assists with Reconciliation for assigned balance sheet accounts which include preparing the reconciliation, researching variances, and resolving issues. Manage employee data and enter weekly payroll data in QuickBooks. Assists with monthly, quarterly, and yearly close procedures. Maintains company fixed asset tracking and depreciation. Enter Fixed Assets for assigned locations. Duties include tracking license renewals, property tax payments, vendor setup, fixed asset setup, and use tax accruals. Perform monthly P&L review for needed accruals/comparison and trend analysis Banking duties which include daily cash balancing, making sure all accounts are funded, calling in wires, approving ACH's, and entering the journal entry for banking activity. Maintain the monthly sales tax file Maintain weekly cash flow reports Create and analyze financial reports from QuickBooks. Prepares and maintain journal entries Other office duties as needed Key Competencies /
Skills:
Bachelor's or degree in Accounting (preferred) 5-10 years of progressive accounting experience with at least some experience in construction industry. HVAC Accounting a huge plus. Experience with AIA billing and construction industry billing concepts. Self-motivated with strong analytical skills.• Proficient in QuickBooks Online Strong reconciliation skills for A/P, A/R, Cash Management and General Ledger. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality Intermediate knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within HVAC/Construction. Strong MS. Office Skills (Word/Excel and Outlook) Must be able to handle multiple concurrent working assignments and deadlines; hard-working and very organized; effective communication skills including the ability to interface effectively with other team members; ability to learn quickly; self-motivated and self-managed; a sense of humor and ability to function effectively in a small professional.
