Astro Sheet Metal Co., Inc., a 59-year old custom architectural metals company located in Grand Prairie, TX, is seeking a full-time, on-site construction-industry Accounting Manager to oversee and manage all accounting operations of the company.

• Supervise A/R, A/P, and Payroll functions handled by accounting staff
• Work with Project Managers to complete and submit timely billing via AIA GC Pay Apps and assist with job costing
• Complete

OCIP/CCIP

enrollments and compile certified payroll as required for various GC projects.

• Follow up with GC accounting departments regarding payment, retainage, etc.
• Compose and file intent-to-lien letters and lien waivers as needed.
• Manage cash flow through oversight of A/P, A/R, and Payroll.
• Create bi-weekly financial snapshots for management
• Create monthly financial statements, including WIP calculations.
• Work with management to develop and monitor budgets.
• Handle all aspects of month-end and year-end closing - bank reconciliations, journal entries, etc.
• Perform calculation, reporting, and payment of monthly sales tax
• Obtain Certificates of Insurance for various construction projects
• Maintain depreciation schedules and property tax rendition filings, and support asset management
• Review and issue all 1099s and compile income tax information for our CPA at year end.
• Work with management and PEO on various HR functions (onboarding, terminations, business and health insurance renewals, etc).
• Other duties as needed to back up other accounting staff or assist management as needed.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field strongly preferred, or a minimum of five years experience in a similar role.
• 2 years of experience supervising accounting staff
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and operations
• Experience with ERP and accounting software (we use ECI JobBoss)
• Proficient in AIA billing documentation, lien waivers, and Texas Lien Law processes.
• Familiarity and experience with GC Pay billing software (Textura, Procore, GC Pay, etc)
• Strong knowledge of financial statements, A/R and A/P practices, payroll processes, GC Pay Apps, the lien process in Texas, and Texas sales tax and other tax laws.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional demeanor.
• A commitment to confidentiality and strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy.

Salary:

$75,000 - $90,000, depending on relevant experience
