Job Description

Summary Dexotech Power is a growing engineering-services company specializing in power-system engineering, diagnostics and forensic investigation. We support utilities, renewable-energy operators, industrial companies and contractors across Canada and the United States. Current HQ is in Toronto, and we are seeking to establish a permanent base of operations in the Dallas Fort Worth area and are looking for an experienced, hands-on consultant to help us set up the office and implement the administrative, payroll, HR and financial systems required to hire and support a local team.
The Engagement:
This is not a virtual-assistant or data-entry assignment. We need an experienced business operations professional who can work directly with the Managing Director and take ownership of establishing a functioning U.S. office and building practical systems from the ground up. The initial focus will be office and lab establishment, payroll and HR implementation. Ideally the engagement will expand into ongoing responsibility for invoicing, bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable and general U.S. business operations. Scope of Work Dallas Office Setup Payroll and HR Implementation Bookkeeping and Financial Administration Operational Systems and Controls Required Qualifications At least seven years of experience in business operations, office establishment, bookkeeping, payroll implementation, HR administration or a related field. Demonstrated experience establishing a new office, business unit or U.S. operation. Hands-on experience implementing U.S. payroll and HR systems. Strong QuickBooks Online experience. Experience with invoicing, accounts receivable, accounts payable and financial reconciliations. Familiarity with Texas employment and payroll administration. Strong Microsoft 365 and Excel skills. Excellent written communication, organization and documentation skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple implementation priorities. Must handle financial and employee information with discretion. Must be located within commuting distance of Grand Prairie, Texas, and available for on-site work. Preferred Experience Experience working with an engineering, construction, field-service or professional-services company. Multi-entity or cross-border bookkeeping experience. Experience with project costing, purchase orders and milestone-based invoicing. Experience recruiting technical, engineering or field-service personnel. Experience coordinating accountants, payroll providers, insurance brokers and employment counsel. Engagement Structure We envision the initial engagement will be approximately 20-30 hours per week for 90 days, subject to performance and business requirements. Ideally the contract can extended indefinitely and lead to a contract-to-hire opportunity. Some work can be completed remotely, but regular on-site availability in Grand Prairie is needed.

$45.00 - $70.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 15.0 per week
