full-time Our client, a growing commercial general contractor, is looking for an Accounting Manager to join its accounting team. The company has experienced strong growth and works across a mix of commercial construction sectors, with a culture that values teamwork, accountability, and involvement in the communities it serves. Responsibilities Lead the month-end close and financial statement preparation Oversee general ledger activity and balance sheet reconciliations Manage AP and AR processes and resolve outstanding issues Oversee project billing and supporting documentation Prepare monthly WIP schedules and over/under billing analysis Support revenue recognition and project accounting Manage fixed asset activity and depreciation Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis Oversee banking activity and reconciliations Support sales tax reporting and compliance Coordinate year-end audit and tax requests Maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls Provide backup and support across AP, AR, and payroll Partner with project and operational teams on accounting matters Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 5+ years of accounting experience Leadership or team oversight experience Commercial construction accounting experience Strong month-end close and general ledger experience Experience with WIP, project billing, and revenue recognition Strong understanding of accrual accounting and GAAP Strong organization, communication, and attention to detail Bonus CPA Experience supporting audits Experience with budgeting and financial reporting
