This is a builder role with a real path to Controller over time, but it starts as a practical, roll-up-your-sleeves position focused on bookkeeping oversight, payroll, bill pay, reporting, and helping us bring more accounting work in-house. Responsibilities Help manage day-to-day accounting across multiple related entities Oversee bookkeeping accuracy and support month-end close Handle payroll, bill pay, and general accounting operations Coordinate with our CPA and outside finance/accounting partners Prepare and improve internal reporting, including P&L visibility and forecasting support Help track cash flow, expenses, and intercompany activity Identify process gaps and help clean up historical accounting issues Support the transition of outsourced accounting and finance tasks in-house over time Build better workflows, reporting, and operating discipline for leadership Qualifications Strong accounting foundation and willingness to work in the details Experience in a role such as Senior Accountant, Accounting Manager, Finance Manager, Full-Charge Bookkeeper, or Assistant Controller Comfortable with reconciliations, month-end close, reporting, and process improvement Strong Excel and spreadsheet skills Organized, dependable, and able to work across multiple entities and priorities Degree is helpful, but not required Experience in financial services, RIA, broker-dealer, or another regulated industry is a plus Interest in growing into a Controller or FINOP-track role is a plus Why this role may be a fit Clear path to increased responsibility and long-term growth Direct access to ownership and leadership Opportunity to help build and improve systems rather than inherit a finished structure Exposure across multiple related businesses Practical, collaborative, in-office environment Compensation $60,000 - $110,000 per year We want to be transparent: this role is designed to grow over time.
