Finance Manager (part-time, shared position with Lead Finance Manager) Reports to:Lead Finance Manager, Senior Pastor Evaluators:
Senior Pastor, Treasurer, Chair of Stewardship & Finance Committee Purpose:
To work with the Lead Finance Manager to complete the following essential duties of the Finance Office.Essential Duties:
- Oversee all aspects of payroll, taxes, and W2s for the employees of the church's three missions: First Baptist Church, Hunting Ridge Retreat, and Son'Shine Learning Center
- Prepare monthly and end of year financial statements for church staff and committees: a monthly balance sheet and revenue and expense reports
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations
- Enter contributions using Realm and post into ACS
- Import and post online contributions from Realm to ACS
- Work with the church volunteers to count and determine the weekly offering
- Create an annual volunteer list for securing Sunday offering into the church safe
- Oversee the work of the church Scholarship and Memorial Committee; oversee youth fundraising accounts.
- Prepare and deliver year end contribution statements to contributors. Assign envelope numbers.
- Maintain all financial records for the church's three missions including deposits for reservations, revenue deposits, and recording of expenses
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Lead Finance Manager, church Treasurer, the Chair of the Stewardship and Finance Committee, or the
Senior Pastor Qualifications:
- Strong background in Accounting or Finance, preferably a degree in Business or Accounting or education in these areas
- Experience in all facets of accounting systems
- Experience using Excel
- Experience creating and using pivot tables
- Knowledge of accounting software
- Passed background check
