- About this Role
- Team Manager, Portfolio Management for Enterprise Content & Training leads the development of scalable enterprise learning solutions that help organizations build critical workforce capabilities in AI, leadership, professional skills, and business transformation.
The Team Manager owns the portfolio strategy and leads a team responsible for translating customer business priorities and workforce capability gaps into structured learning programs, content roadmaps, and commercially viable solutions. The role translates market signals, workforce trends, and commercial priorities into portfolio roadmaps, content strategies, and investment recommendations. It combines strategic portfolio management, content strategy, people management, and market-driven planning. The successful candidate will lead a team responsible for content strategy and development, guide portfolio priorities, and use data-driven insights to drive portfolio revenue and customer outcomes. The role serves as a connective leader across customer needs, market trends, content creation, and commercialization, ensuring Pearson focuses investment on high-value learning opportunities, content formats, and learning experiences that support measurable business growth.
- Responsibilities
- + Develop and manage annual and quarterly portfolio roadmaps for AI literacy, AI-enabled work, leadership development, creative skills, professional skills, and workforce transformation programs for enterprise customers.
+ Translate customer business challenges, workforce capability needs, market research, competitive insights, and revenue priorities into portfolio strategy, learning-program investments, and content roadmaps.
+ Plan for scalable enterprise learning programs and learning journeys that combine digital learning, live training, assessments, credentials, and other learning experiences to achieve customer outcomes.
+ Ensure the team delivers products and learning solutions to market on schedule while meeting quality standards and portfolio performance goals.
+ Manage, coach, and develop a team of portfolio and content professionals, establishing priorities, operating rhythms, performance expectations, and development plans.
+ Partner with Sales, Marketing, Product, Technology, Operations, Delivery, and external partners to shape customer solutions, accelerate execution, and support revenue growth.
+ Lead research and analysis on emerging workforce, leadership, professional-skills, and AI adoption trends, translating insights into new portfolio opportunities and market-focused solutions.
- Requirements
- + 5+ years of experience managing teams in portfolio strategy, content development, curriculum strategy, learning products, enterprise learning, or related fields; experience in high-growth B2B learning environments preferred.
+ Strong experience translating customer needs, workforce capability gaps, and market opportunities into scalable learning solutions, portfolio roadmaps, and content strategies.
+ Experience evaluating portfolio performance, customer outcomes, market opportunities, and investment priorities to guide growth and portfolio decisions.
+ Strong experience developing or managing learning portfolios for workforce transformation, AI skilling, professional skills, leadership development, and/or business transformation needs.
+ Proven ability to translate market insights, customer needs, competitive signals, and commercial priorities into scalable content strategies, portfolio roadmaps, and investment recommendations. + 5+ years of people management experience, including managing mid-sized teams, developing talent, setting OKRs, and driving cross-functional execution across content, product, sales, marketing, technology, and delivery.
+ Demonstrated success using data, portfolio performance metrics, customer insights, and revenue analysis to inform prioritization, investment decisions, and continuous improvement.
+ Ownership of portfolio performance, including setting growth priorities, evaluating investment trade-offs, identifying market opportunities, and ensuring high-quality content outcomes across the portfolio.
+ Strong stakeholder management, executive communication, and decision-making skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership and cross-functional audiences without requiring direct authority.
+ Genuine excitement for building new solutions and addressing market demands to help skill the world of work on AI. +
Preferred:
Experience with enterprise learning providers, leadership-development organizations, workforce-transformation consultancies, professional-services firms, corporate learning organizations, or other B2B learning and talent-development businesses. +
Preferred:
Experience designing, developing, or managing enterprise learning programs, workforce-development solutions, leadership-development offerings, or professional-skills programs for enterprise clients.
- Education
- A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience Compensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location.
As required by the California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York State, New York City, Vermont, Washington State, and Washington DC laws, the pay range for this position is as follows:
- The full-time salary range for this role is between $115,000 - $170,000
