Job Description
Position Overview Mitchell Bros. Truck Line, Inc. is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Manager to lead financial planning, reporting, budgeting, and compliance activities. The successful candidate will provide accurate financial insight, strengthen internal controls, and partner with senior leaders to support sound business decisions and long-term growth. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor daily cash flow and maintain accurate cash position reporting.
- Update and maintain the cash flow forecast.
- Process payroll, garnishments, and 401(k) contributions accurately and on schedule.
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Prepare financial statements and related reporting.
- Open and close accounting periods each month.
- Prepare quarterly financial reports.
- Coordinate year-end financial reporting and related closing activities.
- File local taxes and ensure required tax deadlines are met. Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of accounting, budgeting, & financial analysis experience required.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance requirements.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Experience with Trimble TMS, also known as AS/400, preferred.
- Reliable attendance and strong attention to detail required.
