This role operates within a complex, multi-entity environment characterized by legacy processes and varying levels of standardization. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong change leadership, with the ability to drive alignment across diverse stakeholders while implementing scalable, sustainable process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Process Standardization & Optimization
Evaluate current accounting processes to identify inefficiencies, risks, and control gaps.
Drive alignment across business units with differing practices, balancing standardization with operational needs.
Design and implement scalable, standardized processes across multiple entities and regions.
Lead process harmonization efforts to ensure consistency in accounting treatment, workflows, and documentation.
Establish clear ownership structures and governance frameworks.
Data Integrity, Controls & Governance
Lead initiatives to remediate legacy data issues, reconcile discrepancies, and standardize master data structures.
Oversee the cleanup of historical balances, account structures, and reporting inconsistencies.
Develop and implement sustainable data governance practices to ensure ongoing accuracy and completeness.
Ensure processes align with internal controls, audit requirements, and regulatory standards.
Support internal and external audit activities related to process and system changes.
Automation & Systems Enablement
Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort and strengthen controls through system-enabled solutions.
Collaborate with Finance Systems and IT teams to support ERP enhancements, integrations, and process-driven system improvements.
Project Leadership, Change Management & Reporting Transformation
Lead multiple cross-functional projects from initiation through execution and stabilization.
Develop comprehensive project plans, including milestones, risk assessments, and status reporting.
Drive stakeholder alignment and manage organizational change across impacted teams.
Facilitate workshops to define future-state processes and documentation standards.
Establish standardized reporting and KPIs to enhance performance visibility and reduce reliance on manual analysis.
Ensure initiatives deliver measurable improvements in efficiency, data quality, and reporting consistency.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred.
7+ years of progressive experience in accounting and FP&A, including exposure to process improvement or transformation initiatives.
Proven experience leading cross-functional projects in complex, multi-entity environments.
Experience operating in evolving environments with changing processes, systems, or organizational structures.
Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
Experience with automation technologies (e.g., RPA, workflow tools, BI platforms; experience with platforms such as Palantir is a plus).
Advanced proficiency in Excel and data analysis; familiarity with data visualization tools preferred.
Solid understanding of internal controls and financial reporting requirements.
