Our corporate offices, warehouse, and advanced manufacturing facility are now unified under one roof. To support our fast-paced growth and brand-new production lines, we are seeking a dynamic, hands-on Cost Accounting Manager to drive our manufacturing finance operations forward. The Opportunity As our Cost Accounting Manager, you won't just sit behind a desk—you will be the financial backbone of our production floor. Reporting directly to the Controller, you will partner closely with our Operations, Supply Chain, and Inventory Control teams to bring clear cost visibility, optimize our ERP system, and strengthen inventory controls. This is a highly visible, cross-functional role with the unique opportunity to scale and eventually build out your own cost accounting team as we continue to expand.
Key Responsibilities:
Master the
Standards:
Own and maintain standard costing (material, labor, overhead) across our extensive and growing SKU catalog. Analyze the
Numbers:
Lead weekly and monthly manufacturing variance analysis (PPV, labor, overhead, yield), translating data into actionable operational insights.
Drive Inventory Integrity:
Oversee inventory accounting and valuation across raw materials, WIP, and finished goods, while championing our cycle count programs and Return-To-Stock (RTS) initiatives.
Optimize Production Finance:
Analyze production efficiency, labor utilization, and capacity across our state-of-the-art manufacturing lines and compounding work centers.
ERP & Technology Leader:
Act as the finance champion for our Deacom ERP system, ensuring data integrity, cost accuracy, and robust margin reporting.
Strategic Partnering:
Collaborate with Supply Chain on forecasting and MRP, evaluate ROI/IRR on exciting new equipment investments (CAPEX), and support annual budgeting alongside general accounting operations. What You Bring to the
Table:
Experience:
5+ years of dedicated cost accounting experience within a manufacturing environment.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
Technical Chops:
Advanced Excel skills (XLOOKUP, PivotTables, Tables, Array Functions) and strong ERP experience ( Deacom or similar manufacturing ERP).
The Manufacturing Mindset:
Deep knowledge of standard costing, variance analysis, inventory valuation, and a passion for working cross-functionally with plant operations.
Bonus Points:
Experience in CPG, cosmetics, or high-SKU manufacturing; exposure to multi-channel distribution; SQL or ERP reporting skills; or a CPA/CMA designation.
