Gamber-Johnson LLC, an award-winning industry leader in the manufacturing of mobile and proAV mounting solutions trusted to be "Rugged, Reliable, and Responsive" is looking for an Accounting Manager to join our growing team.
What You'll Do:
The Accounting Manager is a key leader within the Finance team. In this role you will oversee the organization's accounting operations, ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, maintain compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements, and drive continuous improvement across accounting processes. You will partner with leaders across the organization to provide financial insights that support strategic decision-making while developing and mentoring the accounting team. This role will be required to be onsite in Stevens Point, WI.
Responsibilities:
Lead the preparation and review of financial statements in accordance with
U.S. GAAP.
Drive the month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analysis. Manage the preparation and filing of sales tax returns and other required regulatory reports. Maintain documentation and internal controls to support internal and external audits. Review and analyze general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and recommending improvements. Ensure fixed asset policies are followed and company assets are properly safeguarded and accounted for. Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process and monitor budget variances. Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support operational and strategic decision-making. Partner with cross-functional teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve profitability. Lead, mentor, and develop accounting team members while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Identify and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and reporting capabilities. Leverage ERP systems and financial tools to optimize accounting processes and reporting. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. CPA and/or CMA certification strongly preferred. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role. Manufacturing experience preferred. Experience with mergers and acquisitions and multi-entity consolidations preferred. Strong ERP system knowledge; NetSuite and Salesforce experience preferred. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
