Operations Position Overview:
Cedar & Stone is seeking a full-time Finance Manager to operate within the day-to-day financial operations of the company while helping build scalable systems to support continued growth. This role is ideal for a finance professional with experience in manufacturing, construction, or the building products industry who enjoys both hands-on accounting work and operational partnership. The Finance Manager will work closely with leadership and Office Manager to improve financial processes, reporting, budgeting, inventory management, and overall business performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Operations Oversee monthly close processes Prepare monthly financial statements Maintain the accuracy of the general ledger Coordinate annual audit and tax preparation activities Budgeting & Financial Reporting Assist in developing annual budgets Produce monthly financial reports and dashboards Monitor departmental budgets and spending Track key financial and operational performance indicators Support forecasting and long-range financial planning Manufacturing Finance Monitor inventory valuation and inventory controls Support purchasing and inventory management processes Analyze manufacturing costs, labor efficiency, and production performance Improve cost accounting processes Assist with pricing, profitability, and margin analysis Cash Management Monitor cash flow and working capital Assist with banking relationships Help maintain healthy cash management practices Process Improvement Develop and improve accounting policies and procedures Strengthen internal controls Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and financial visibility Partner with operational leaders to improve reporting and decision-making
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Minimum of 5 years of accounting or finance experience Manufacturing, construction, or building products industry experience preferred Strong understanding of inventory accounting and cost tracking Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting Proficiency in QuickBooks Online required Strong Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets skills Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills Comfortable working in a growing, entrepreneurial environment Compensation and benefits: This role is an in-person full-time position, located in Superior, Wisconsin. Salary of $65,000 annually. Benefits for this role include 20 days of
