Job Description
Company Overview Open Doors is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities across five counties in southeastern WV. Role Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Manager to oversee financial operations within a regulated, service‑driven organization. This role plays a critical part in ensuring compliance, financial accuracy, and organizational stability. The ideal candidate brings deep accounting expertise, strong regulatory knowledge, and a proactive, solutions‑oriented mindset. What You'll Do Lead the entire accounting cycle , from daily transactions to financial reporting and audit preparation Maintain accurate general ledger , journal entries, and reconciliations Ensure compliance with GAAP , HIPAA, and applicable state and federal regulations Oversee biweekly ADP payroll processing and payroll tax filings Manage cash flow forecasting, invoicing, and banking activities Prepare and manage grant applications, reporting, invoicing, and audit readiness Coordinate with auditors, agencies, and internal leadership What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, or related Knowledge of Medicaid Waiver billing and compliance is a bonus Grant accounting and regulatory reporting experience Proficiency with QuickBooks, Quicken, Microsoft 365, and ADP Workforce (preferred) Familiarity with WVOASIS, DHHR, and DEP regulations Supervisory experience a plus
