Job Summary:

The Finance Trainee supports accounts receivable, customer financing, and credit administration activities for AgriGold and Mustang Seeds. This role provides an opportunity to build foundational knowledge of customer finance, credit processes, and financial systems while working closely with experienced finance team members. The trainee assists with daily transactions, customer account maintenance, reporting, and process improvement activities and gains exposure to SAP and corporate finance processes. This is a 6-month trainee position.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Support customer financing, accounts receivable, and process integration activities within SAP. Manage daily transactions related to customer payments, financing programs, and accounts receivable activities for dealer and customer accounts. Process, review, and maintain accurate accounting transactions and records for customer accounts. Collect, validate, and maintain customer licensing, credit, and account documentation in accordance with company requirements. Monitor financing and payment activities to support timely completion of corporate deadlines and customer payment obligations. Assist in the development, documentation, and maintenance of finance procedures, controls, and compliance requirements. Collaborate with Corporate Finance, Production, and other cross-functional teams to support financing activities, reporting needs, and business process improvements. Prepare reports, analyze account data, and assist with identifying opportunities to improve financial processes and operational efficiency. Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master's degree preferred. Recent graduate or up to 2 years of relevant internship, co-op, or professional experience. Internship or coursework related to accounting, finance, accounts receivable, or credit. Knowledge of accounts receivable, credit, collections, or financial analysis preferred. Experience with financial systems, ERP platforms, or data analytics tools preferred. Knowledge of the agriculture or seed industry is a plus.
