Overview:
Semper Valens is seeking a Financial Budget Specialist II to provide financial management, budget execution, accounting, and programmatic support for government operations. This position is responsible for maintaining and analyzing multiyear budget data, performing financial reconciliations, reviewing funding and invoice documentation, monitoring contract funding, and supporting customer-funded transactions. The position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with government financial systems and recurring reporting requirements.Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning, analysis, execution, and monitoring of multiyear budgets and programmatic financial requirements.
- Maintain accurate prior-, current-, and future-year budget and funding data.
- Prepare, review, and maintain internal and external program-budget and financial-management documentation.
- Perform daily accounting and financial-management functions using government financial systems and databases.
- Create, access, review, and update financial records and transactions in GFEBS and LMP.
- Use Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications to analyze data, prepare reports, reconcile accounts, and support financial-management activities.
- Meet recurring financial deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in financial management, budgeting, accounting, or financial systems.
- Knowledge of budget execution, financial reconciliation, funding-document review, or government accounting practices.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and reconcile financial data and identify discrepancies.
- Secret clearance required.
