Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Operations Analyst to support day-to-day financial processes and reporting activities. This role plays a key part in ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions, strengthening internal controls, and improving operational efficiency across finance functions. Responsibilities Process and validate a high volume of financial transactions, including invoices, payments, credits, and adjustments, with a high level of accuracy Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies to ensure the integrity of financial data and reporting Respond to billing and payment inquiries from internal stakeholders, customers, and vendors in a timely and professional manner Support time-sensitive financial requests, including escalations, corrections, and urgent payment processing needs Prepare and maintain recurring financial reports on a daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis for leadership review Partner with accounting, finance, and operational teams to resolve issues and enhance communication across departments Analyze financial data and trends to support decision-making and identify areas for improvement Contribute to the development and optimization of financial processes, tools, and reporting workflows Ensure adherence to established policies, procedures, and applicable financial regulations Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability within financial operations Maintain thorough documentation of processes and support ongoing process improvement initiatives Participate in ad hoc projects and support additional finance-related responsibilities as needed Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline (or equivalent combination of education and experience) 2-5 years of experience in finance, accounting, financial operations, or a related field Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including advanced functions); experience with Word and financial/ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, or similar platforms preferred Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally across all levels of an organization Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional, matrixed environment Self-motivated and solutions-oriented, with the ability to take initiative and drive tasks to completion Adaptability and flexibility in managing changing priorities and evolving business needs Interest in leveraging technology and process improvements to enhance financial operations Team-oriented mindset with a positive, collaborative approach Willingness to travel occasionally for meetings or training (up to 5%, if required) Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco/Highspring notes the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
