Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Consumer Finance Supervisor to support the financial operations of individuals served by our organization. This position assists with consumer financial management, housing renewals, Representative Payee services, entitlement processes, Medicaid billing preparation, and compliance activities. The ideal candidate is analytical, dependable, and committed to maintaining accurate financial records while supporting the mission of empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Location:
Livingston, NJ Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Support consumer financial operations, including budgets, housing renewals, and account reconciliations. Maintain Social Security Representative Payee records, process disbursements, and reconcile accounts. Assist with Medicaid and Medicare renewals, eligibility verification, and insurance billing support. Prepare and organize documentation for Medicaid billing submissions and compliance activities. Review PEX (expense) records for accuracy, completeness, and required approvals. Maintain consumer financial files, databases, and tracking systems. Support audits, compliance reviews, reporting requirements, and monitoring visits. Generate reports and assist with financial analysis and recordkeeping. Coordinate workflow activities to ensure timely and accurate completion of department processes. Participate in special projects and perform other related duties as assigned.
Education and Work Experience:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field preferred. Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in business office operations, financial administration, billing, accounting support, or related functions. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook. Experience with accounting software or financial database systems preferred. Understanding of Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security benefits, or nonprofit financial operations preferred. Skills & Requirements Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reconciliation skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive financial information.
