Introduction The Wisconsin Department of Transportation, Division of Transportation System Development, Northwest Region is recruiting for a Financial Specialist Entry or Senior position. This full-time permanent position can be headquartered out of either- Eau Claire WI or Superior, WI. This position offers a hybridized work schedule. The position will be headquartered at and required to work from the one of the offices listed above at least 2 days per week . All employees working a hybrid work schedule are still expected to telework from within the State of Wisconsin. Position Summary Under close supervision of the Northwest Region Maintenance Supervisor and with guidance from the Northwest Region Contract Specialist, this position is primarily responsible for assisting the Operations Section's Management and staff with administration of the Region's State Highway maintenance budgeting efforts, preparation of reports, and financial review of Operations expenditures. This position is responsible for monitoring Traffic & Maintenance Agreements and reporting final costs. Other activities this position is responsible for include: Salt Purchasing and the Trans. 277 Salt Inspection Program, Coordination and Processing of Damage Claims that result in damage to State Highway facilities in assigned regional area, and Adopt-A-Highway program administration in assigned regional area. This position also is responsible for assisting in monitoring of Maintenance Agreements and Contracts including Routine Maintenance Agreement (RMA's), Discretionary Maintenance Agreements (DMA's), Traffic Maintenance Agreements (TMA's), and others. This position also provides assistance and backup on various permits and other miscellaneous activities in the Operations & SPO section. and coordination of the Operations office functions. The Senior level position is in schedule-range (02-13) with an hourly salary of $26.61 All positions come have excellent benefits. A twelve month probationary period is required.
