Albuquerque, NM - Hybrid schedule available Position Summary The Agency is seeking an experienced Fiscal Management Consultant to provide budget oversight, financial analysis, reporting, compliance, and grant support. The consultant will work closely with the Executive Director, CFO, Commissioners, and Agency staff to ensure sound fiscal management and accurate, timely financial reporting. Key Responsibilities Develop, monitor, and maintain annual operating budgets and multi-year financial projections. Conduct weekly budget reconciliations and identify and resolve discrepancies and variances. Provide weekly financial updates, spending projections, funding needs, and fiscal risk recommendations. Prepare and distribute comprehensive monthly financial reports to Commissioners. Provide fiscal updates and recommendations at Commission meetings. Conduct market research, cost analyses, and price comparisons to support procurement and budget decisions. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and Agency fiscal requirements, procurement rules, reporting deadlines, and internal controls. Identify and assist with grant applications and other funding opportunities. Prepare financial reports, budget analyses, data summaries, and documentation for leadership, auditors, funding agencies, and other stakeholders. Maintain accurate financial records, reconciliations, supporting documentation, and audit readiness. Track hours and coordinate work schedules with the Executive Director. Perform other fiscal management, budget oversight, compliance, and reporting duties assigned. Ideal Candidate Strong experience in fiscal management, budgeting, financial reporting, and financial analysis. Knowledge of government, grant, procurement, and regulatory requirements preferred. Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with leadership and a multidisciplinary team. Strong attention to detail and ability to meet reporting deadlines. Experience preparing financial reports and presenting fiscal information to leadership or governing bodies. Proficiency with spreadsheets, financial systems, and budget-tracking tools.
