Job Description
Job Summary A local financial institution in the Ladson SC area is seeking a detail-oriented Financial Operations Specialist for a direct hire opportunity. This primarily back-office role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with records, documentation, data, and transaction processing. This is a strong opportunity for candidates with banking, teller, customer service, administrative, billing, insurance, or data processing experience who are ready to move into a more operational financial services role. The team offers hands-on training, supportive leadership, and a collaborative environment where accuracy, organization, and follow-through are valued. The Financial Operations Specialist will support daily processing activities, maintain account information, review documentation, and help ensure financial records and administrative requests are handled accurately and on time. Key Responsibilities
- Process, update, and maintain account and financial records with a high level of accuracy.
- Review documentation and account information for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with established procedures.
- Enter and maintain data in internal systems while ensuring records are organized and up to date.
- Process routine transactions, administrative requests, and operational tasks within required timeframes.
- Research discrepancies and coordinate with internal departments to resolve documentation or processing issues.
- Support additional financial operations, administrative projects, and back-office workflow needs as assigned. Compensation and Benefits
- Direct hire opportunity.
- Pay range: $20.00 to $23.00 per hour.
- Primarily back-office financial operations role with limited customer-facing responsibilities. Required Qualifications and Skills
- Process financial records, account updates, and operational transactions accurately.
- Review documentation and data for completeness, accuracy, and compliance.
- Research discrepancies and communicate with internal teams to resolve issues.
- Maintain organized records and support time-sensitive administrative processing.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience preferred in banking, financial services, administration, data processing, customer service, billing, insurance, or another detail-focused environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with numbers, records, and computer systems.
- Comfortable entering, updating, and reviewing information in internal systems.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to follow established procedures, learn new processes, and apply good judgment.
- Strong communication, follow-through, and teamwork skills.
- Comfortable working independently in a structured, process-driven environment. Preferred Qualifications
- Previous banking, teller, credit union, financial operations, or transaction processing experience.
- Experience working in a back-office, administrative, documentation review, or data maintenance role.
- Familiarity with regulated financial services environments and the importance of accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance.
