Job Description

Financial Applications Specialist Life Care Centers of America Cleveland, TN Position Summary The Financial Application Specialist supports the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of billing applications used in skilled nursing operations. Essential Responsibilities Configure and maintain billing system settings to support accurate claims processing and reimbursement. Analyze payer requirements and ensure billing applications are configured appropriately. Troubleshoot billing and application issues and work with internal teams and vendors to resolve problems. Test system updates, enhancements, and new functionality. Maintain documentation related to payer setup, billing rules, and system processes. Support software implementations, upgrades, and user training. Monitor regulatory and payer changes and recommend necessary system modifications. Required Qualifications Skilled nursing facility billing experience or experience configuring nursing home software for Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance billing. Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement and revenue cycle processes. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across departments. Preferred Qualifications Experience with PointClickCare, particularly payer configuration and billing functions. Experience reviewing provider and payer contracts to determine billing requirements. Knowledge of EDI, claims processing, and clearinghouse operations. Experience supporting healthcare financial applications in a multi-facility environment. This position plays a key role in ensuring billing systems are configured correctly, compliant with payer requirements, and optimized to support accurate reimbursement.
