In this role, you will be responsible for managing core financial processes, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and supporting the overall efficiency of our financial operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of financial concepts, and experience in accounting and finance functions within the investment management or banking sectors. Responsibilities Oversee daily financial transactions, including trade settlement, cash management, and regulatory reporting to ensure accuracy and timeliness. Monitor and prevent fraud through detection techniques and adherence to internal controls. Maintain compliance with securities law, financial regulations, and SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) requirements. Conduct detailed financial analysis using Excel spreadsheets, pivot tables, and SQL databases to support decision-making processes. Collaborate with internal teams on business operations, client communication, and industry-specific regulatory updates. Assist with accounting functions such as corporate accounting, governmental accounting, and technical accounting practices. Support trade settlement processes and ensure adherence to banking regulatory compliance standards. Prepare comprehensive reports on financial performance, industry trends, and regulatory compliance metrics. Utilize financial software and Microsoft Office tools to streamline workflows and enhance data accuracy. Lead or participate in internal communication efforts related to financial procedures and compliance initiatives. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field; advanced certifications are a plus. Minimum of three years' experience in finance operations within the financial services industry. Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), industry regulations, and financial compliance standards. Experience with public accounting or governmental accounting is advantageous. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (including pivot tables) and spreadsheets for data analysis. Familiarity with SQL databases and financial software systems used in investment management or banking environments. Understanding of fixed income markets, investment management processes, and securities law. Knowledge of fraud prevention techniques and industry best practices for internal controls. Excellent communication skills for effective internal collaboration and client interaction. Demonstrated ability to analyze complex financial data accurately while maintaining attention to detail.
